SavingsPinay November Quick Recap + Extra Income Report

December 9, 2016
It’s time to do another SavingsPinay Monthly Quick Recap. Just like the past two months I’ll be including an Extra Income Report devoted solely on the side hustles I do. I hope doing this will inspire you to make money on the side too.

November flew by too quickly and I feel embarrassed for publishing only two posts. I was experiencing some kind of blogger’s block for the past month and couldn’t find the motivation to write or to publish any post. Hopefully the last month of 2016 will be a productive one to yours truly. Anyway let’s begin doing a recap shall we?!

We reached 200,000++ Pageviews

I finally achieved my 2016 Blog Goal of reaching 200,000 pageviews on this blog. Thank you for making  it possible. Thank you for your love and support as SavingsPinay readers. I want to however announce that this will be the last time that I’ll incorporate an update of SavingsPinay pageviews on the Monthly Recaps. Starting January 2017 I’ll be transferring this blog to a new home which means a new (and better) blog for you too! Though I have to go back to start with the pageviews count I believe this is the best decision and investment I’ll be making to SavingsPinay. I have a lot of hopes for this blog and next year is the best time to get started. Hope you can stay tune for that!

Closing My BPI Save-Up Automatic + Insurance Account

One of the toughest financial decision I made this year is closing my BPI Save-Up Automatic + Insurance Account. I have opened that one in 2014 and it did kick start my emergency fund. But because of personal reasons like me growing up and changing my plans I decided to close the account. You can read the full post here which will also give you an idea on how closing a BPI Save-Up Automatic + Insurance is done. Again just like what I mentioned in the blog post the BPI Save-Up Automatic + Insurance is one of the best savings account available for Filipinos and the fact that it has an insurance is amazing. It’s just that maintaining one is hard given my current situation.

Extra Income Report for November

Today is the third installment of my Monthly Extra Income Report. I decided to do this to really inspire others, especially kapwa ko Pinays and Pinoys that earning money from your passions and hobbies is possible. We grew up thinking being an employee is our only chance to get rich, but this is 101% false. Read Last Month’s Income Report.

Walang yumaman sa pagiging empleyado lamang.

I’ve learned at a young age to use my talent and time well. If you want a clear picture on the different things I’ve tried and I am still doing to make extra income CLICK HERE.

Doing this Monthly Extra Income Report is my way of being transparent to you. Here I share what I did, how much I earned and what my next actions will be.   Having other sources of income will change your life. You’ll realize that there’s more than the four corners of the office. You’ll have your own identity that will make you stand out from the rest.

Kung nagawa ko, kaya mo din! Making side money is possible and there’s a massive list of ways you can earn money online or offline whether it be a job or even your own business.

I still have a lot to learn when it comes to making money online (and offline). To this date all my extra cash are from active income meaning kailangan kumilos ako para magka-pera. My ultimate goal is to turn all my side jobs to passive income streams. This can be a long journey but I’ll try to do it one step at a time and share the progress with you month after month.

I earned 0pesos in November for Event Hosting

I don’t have any hosting gig schedule for the month of November but that’s okey. December is normally the busiest month for us event hosts so this whole November is a nice time to just relax my voice. 🙂 READ: Becoming an Event Host for All Occasion in the Philippines.

I earned $200 USD in November for Freelance Writing

The same client ordered two more ghost writing articles to me!!! HOORAY!!! Even though I didn’t have any hosting I still have my freelance writing activities to give me extra income. I will honestly take care of this client better. To more writing gigs!!!

December Plans on the Blog and Side Hustles
  1. Publish all year-end posts. Just like last year I have pre-planned some year end-posts for SavingsPinay. It includes a collection of best posts for 2016, what to expect in SavingsPinay next year and more. I’ve been in a blogger’s block as obvious with the amount of posts I publish since October and I just want to be back on normal again. I miss being ahead of my schedule on the blog.
  2. Finish 2016 strong. With my current situation I know that finishing a strong 2016 is miracle but I am determined to work hard. I have a long list to get done before the New Year comes.
Final Notes from SavingsPinay
